Artist Statement

My recent artistic endeavors are influenced by living organisms that demonstrate the characteristics of strength, resilience, mystery and originality. I recognize that machines and modern electronics possess the same qualities. I combine realistic life forms and modern technology to demonstrate these traits that are important to me. My choice of wood and metal combined in sculpture symbolizes synergy of organic and modern technology as a symbol of strength. This synergy represents a new type of symbiotic relationship, as living organisms become more reliant on modern technology.  My art reflects the balance of organic and inorganic.
